Leeann Hamilton's Photo Story
I like to spend my summers vacationing with my family and friends. These timeline a summer spent in New Jersey, Maryland, Vermont, and the Dominican Republic.

The first trip I took that summer was to the Dominican Republic in June with my family. This is a shot of the beach there, on a semi-cloudy day

I think the Dominican looks even prettier at night. I was with my family and bored so pretty much all I had to do was take pictures of the relaxation that was going on.

A few weeks later I took a trip with my friends to Annapolis, Maryland. It's a favorite spot of ours because we love boating in our matching Old Navy 4th of July tank tops.

Leaving Annapolis is always pretty while crossing over the Bay Bridge. I like the darkness of this picture because it was a particularly nasty day, but still a nice view.

In the beginning of August my two best friends and I went to Killington, Vermont another favorite spot of ours. Even though it was late Summer, Vermont was cold and rainy. I like this picture of us on top of Killington Peak because it looks like we're super imposed on a rustic back drop.

Ending the Summer in the most beautiful place of all Atlantic City, New Jersey, at sunrise.

Maya Davis Photo Story
The concert started at 8pm. After a half an hour of a DJ named Blackstarr opening , we were excited for M.I.A. to start. However, she had more opening acts (which we didn't expect) and in this picture is an artist named Santogold, who has a similar musical style to M.I.A.
Another opening act: the Cool Kids. Neither my sister or I have ever heard of these people that opened for M.I.A., but since they were playing a similar music style, it didn't bother us too much. At this point in the concert, which was about 2 hours in and still no sign of M.I.A.
My sister and I decided to continue taking pictures of ourselves. We were trying to avoid the other concert goers who were starting to push and get out of control while still trying to enjoy ourselves in the limited and cramped space of the sold-out concert.
Finally, around 11pm M.I.A. comes on to perform. After waiting three hours and through several of her opening acts, the wait was well worth it because she played for about a hour and a half of music from her latest album Kala. I started to listen to M.I.A. when i discovered her song Galang on a Toyota commercial. It was a catchy song so after some research i found more information on her and purchased her debut cd Arular.
One thing that M.I.A. is world-famous for is her connection with her fans. At this point in the concert, she asked people to get on stage with her and sing along to some of her songs. Later on, she jumped into the crowd and performed with a bunch of fans surrounding her.
